VPC Helper v1.1.1 by Shay Fulton & Infamus Harding Below is a chart showing the performance increase with and without VPC Helper assistance. We tested five actions in the Virtual PC environment: Start up, launching Internet Explorer, restarting Windows, saving the PC state, and running Microsoft Flight Simulator 98. (shorter bars are better, dark purple is With VPC Helper')   The test system was a modest G3 266 with 64MB RAM. The 'With VPC Helper' results were obtained by using all of VPC Helper's options, turning off Virtual Memory completely. The 'With VPC Helper' results were obtained by using Virtual PC in regular Mac conditions, with standard extensions and Virtual Memory on (set to a modest 8MB over built-in). Tests with VM higher resulted in startup times over 120 seconds long... These results were not included in the chart above as we used only 'common user' settings. The software used was Virtual PC with Windows 98. Take note... If you add more RAM (we used a base 64MB system) to your system, your performance will increase even more. As you can see, the VPC Helper increased performance, sometimes by as much as 850%. On disk-intensive actions such as saving and starting up, the benefits of VPC Helper tools really shine! The results of the common tools in VPC Helper are not only timesaving... They're practical and beneficial! A larger copy of this chart is available on our web site. Want to buy VPC Helper?
